COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS

  • Strawberry Bounce Centers Black Sapphic People

This party was made especially for Black queer women, trans, and nonbinary people. It’s for the girls, the gworls, the dolls, the enbys, the queers. In short, this party is Black af and Gay af. And we want to make sure the space stays that way. If you do not identify as Black and Sapphic, we won’t turn you away, but we do encourage you to examine your intentions. Here to support your newly out lesbian sister? Cool. Here to catch a vibe as a queer ally? Love it. Here to hit on women as a straight dude? We will kick you out.

  • Ask, don’t assume

Don’t assume someone’s gender or sexuality. Some of us are gender fluid. Some of us nonbinary. Some of us don’t pass societal standards of the gender binary. And some of us don’t want to. Ask for pronouns and use them.

  • Consent is sexy

Consent is also absolutely necessary. Do not touch folks without their explicit consent. This includes anything on their body or their belongings. And remember a very drunken “yes” can mean a sober no.

  • Absolutely no harassment. Don’t be a weirdo.

We love weirdos—the quirky, eccentric, and oddball types—but we hate weirdos. You know what we mean. If you are a weirdo that engages in harassment of any kind, including but not limited to transphobia, racism, ableism, ageism, biphobia, fatphobia, or homophobia, you are getting the boot.

If someone makes you feel uncomfortable in any way, please let someone on the Strawberry Bounce team know.

  • This is a dance party. Don’t be afraid to let loose.

We want you to move your body and dance. There are no sections. No booths. No VIP. Just music and the moment. We encourage you to be in it with us.

  • Be a community member

Look out for each other. If you see something, say something. When you leave the party, walk together. Meet a new friend and be a new friend. Strawberry Bounce is a community of people who care.
